Is Ghosts of Woodforest affiliated with the HOA?
No. Ghosts of Woodforest is an independent community project created by a Woodforest resident and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Woodforest HOA, its developers, or any official community organization.

How does Ghosts of Woodforest stay free?
Ghosts of Woodforest is funded through the sale of Boo Bags.
Every Boo Bag purchased helps cover the cost of the website, hosting, maps, artwork, printing, and the countless hours spent building and maintaining the project throughout October.

Halloween Homes
What are Halloween Homes?
Halloween Homes are decorated houses throughout Woodforest that have chosen to share their displays with the community. Browse the interactive map to discover everything from family-friendly displays to elaborate Halloween creations.
Is it free to add my home?
Yes. Listing your decorated home is completely free.
How do I submit my home?
Simply complete the Home Submission form with your display details, hours, and location. After a quick review, your home will appear on the Halloween Homes map.
Why isn't my home showing yet?
Every submission is reviewed before it goes live. This helps keep the map accurate and prevents spam.
Can I update or remove my listing?
Absolutely. If your hours change, you add more decorations, or you’d like your listing removed, just contact us and we’ll take care of it.
Community Events
What kinds of events can I submit?
Halloween-themed events taking place in or around Woodforest are welcome, including neighborhood gatherings, trunk-or-treats, haunted attractions, costume contests, school events, church events, pumpkin patches, and more.
Is it free to submit an event?
Yes. Community event listings are completely free.
How do I submit an event?
Complete the Event Submission form with the event details, location, date, and time. Once reviewed, your event will be added to the community calendar.
Why hasn't my event appeared yet?
Every submission is reviewed before publication to help ensure listings are accurate and appropriate.
Can businesses submit events?
Absolutely. Local businesses, schools, churches, organizations, and neighborhood groups are all welcome to submit Halloween events that are open to the community.
Boo Bags
What is a Boo Bag?
A Boo Bag is a Halloween surprise secretly delivered to another family’s porch. Each handcrafted bag includes Halloween keepsakes, collectibles, decorations, and everything needed to continue the fun by surprising another neighbor.
Why would I buy this instead of making my own Boo Bag?
You absolutely can. Many families do.
Ghosts of Woodforest simply takes the work out of it.
Each Boo Bag is assembled by hand, includes exclusive keepsakes and collectibles, and comes with a complete Pass-Along Packet already prepared for the next delivery.
Instead of shopping, printing, cutting, and assembling everything yourself, you get to enjoy the fun of creating the surprise.
What comes inside a Boo Bag?
Every Boo Bag includes everything needed to surprise another family and keep the Ghosts moving through Woodforest.
Inside you’ll find a reusable Boo Bag, exclusive Halloween keepsakes, collectible trading cards, glow-in-the-dark goodies, a laminated door hanger, and a complete Pass-Along Packet ready for its next delivery.
You’ll only need to add a few treats of your own.
What is the Pass-Along Packet?
Inside every Boo Bag is a second, separately packaged set containing a door hanger, QR card, sticker, and instructions. Simply add a few treats, choose a porch, and keep the Ghosts moving.
Ordering & Delivery
Where do you deliver?
Within Woodforest only.
Every Boo Bag is personally delivered by hand.
Do you ship?
No.
Keeping deliveries inside Woodforest is part of what makes the experience feel magical.
How much notice do I need?
Please allow at least 24 hours before your preferred delivery date.
Can I order more than one Boo Bag?
Absolutely.
Whether you’re Boo’ing one family or ten, additional Boo Bags are always available while supplies last.
What happens if I order on October 30?
Orders placed before noon on October 30 will be delivered that day.
After noon, ordering closes for the season so every Ghost has time to finish their rounds before Halloween.
